I have studied Pharmacy and Nutrition BSc (Universidad de Valencia, Spain). During the final year of my undergraduate degree, I acquired a different kind of experiences; I could do my end of degree project in a research group in IATA, Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology. I found this experience really positive to my career, where I was able to discover a new field for my in the food research. Moreover, I did an internship in a food factory in the R&D department, which taught me a more practical application of the theoretical knowledge acquired.
After my Bachelors, I did an Erasmus Trainship in Teagasc Food Research Centre in the department of Food Chemistry and Technology. I was working on an exciting project for the development of new plant proteins as a sustainable and functional food alternative. In addition, currently, I am doing a PhD in Food Sciences and Technology related on «Structuring alternative proteins extracted from grass and other forage species for food applications» in partnership with University College Cork and Teagasc Food Research Center.
